Application Information

Each year, the Office of Admissions at VMI identifies potential candidates who may benefit from a VMI education and who possess the desire, the academic potential and personal characteristics to be successful. Once identified, the Office communicates with these individuals to provide important information about the academic and co-curricular opportunities available at VMI, to answer questions about all aspects of the institution's educational system, and to counsel them about college selection issues.

VMI seeks to enroll a class of individuals who are not only academically talented, but who also can contribute to all aspects of the VMI educational system. In making an offer of admission, the admissions staff reviews academic credentials, letters of reference, extracurricular activities, standardized test scores and other materials to determine if an applicant meets admissions criteria.
