Welcome
to the VMI
Archives Military Oral History Database. The project is
an initiative of VMI's John A. Adams '71 Center for Military History
and Strategic Analysis, which has as its mandate the promotion of
"innovation in military history and strategic studies." Interviews
cover the World War II period through the present, with emphasis on
the Cold War era; all branches of the service are represented.
Working in cooperation with the Adams Center, the
VMI Archives is committed to making available online the full-text of
completed oral histories and their accompanying documents. The
project is ongoing, and new material will be added regularly to this
website.
